BOV Ch. Windkist A Walk in The Park.
by Judge Skip Herendeen
"A compact sturdy dog that is
more than big for his inches. His angles, which in my opinion are
as balanced as you can get, are ideal for a long day's work in
the field. This goes along with his depth of chest and spring of
rib for great heart and lung capacity. Balance this with the
proper coat. His top was like a rock on the move and never a
roll of the shoulders was to be seen. Going away, you drop a
line from the ilium, through the ischium down through the pads
creating a balanced and powerful rear propulsion. Coming at you
was much the same with the entire forequarters as true as could
be and never out of sync with the rear. From the side the dog
was breathtaking with long easy movements that covered the vast
amount of ground with each step. He never put a foot wrong and
on this day he was not to be denied.
....The day...... belonged to
(Parker) who I have awarded a couple of groups to in the past. I
have never seen him show the way he did today. When they both
went around for the last time, the eventual winner shot to the
end of his lead and thrilled all with an immaculate presentation
of heart, class and showmanship. in my opinion, he is without
equal in our breed today. a wonderful, worthy winner of our 2005
NBC National specialty...."
